Common Questions
Q: To what degree do you know these languages and applications?
A: I only list languages and software applications that I have ample knowledge of and feel comfortable working with.
Q: Are you able to learn new languages and techniques?
A: Yes. I have taught myself a great deal of languages. I am always pushing myself to learn more and always looking for a better way to execute an idea. I keep a list of languages and apps that I am interested in learning below.
Q: What development environment do you prefer to code in?
A: I prefer to work in Dreamweaver because of the synchronization/FTP features. I am very familiar with working in Macromedia development environments, so being able to find everything quickly is a bonus when on a tight deadline. I also find some of its features helpful when working on team-based projects. Note: I work in code mode, NOT design mode.
Q: When designing for the web, when do you consider the end user?
A: From the very beginning. Web sites are usually used by a large demographic, so I try to design the interface and functionality while keeping them all in mind. From wire frames to final design, I am consistently running tests on the functionality, interface, and usability aspects of the design.
